சொந்தமாகக் கார் கூட இல்லாத ஸ்டாலின்: ஆங்கில இதழில் மட்டும் பகடி

அரசியல்வாதிகள் அவ்வப்போது அரங்கேற்றிவரும் அற்பத்தனங்களை, மக்களின் மனச்சாட்சியாக இருந்து, பகடி (கிண்டல்) செய்து ஜனநாயகக் காவலன் என்னும் கடமையைச் செய்வதில், தமிழ் நாளிதழ்கள் பின்னுக்குப் போய் விருகின்றன. தமிழ் நாட்டின் துணை முதலமைச்சரும், தற்போதைய முதல்வரின் மகனும், உதய நிதி ஸ்டாலின் என்ற சினிமா தயாரிப்பாளரின் தந்தையுமான, ஸ்டாலின், கொளத்தூர் தொகுதியில் வேட்புமனு தாக்கல் செய்தபோது, தன்னிடம் சொந்தமாகக் கார் கூட இல்லை என்று வாக்குமூலம் கொடுத்தால், இதை எப்படி, வாய்விட்டுச் சிரிக்காமல் உள்ளதை உள்ளபடியே ஏற்றுக் கொள்கின்றன  தமிழ் நாளிதழ்கள் என்ற கேள்விக்கு விடை தேடிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம்.
அவர் எப்பொழுதுமே எஸ் யு வி எனப்படும் ஸ்போர்ட்ஸ் யூடிலிட்டி வெகிக்கிளையே பயன்படுத்துவார் என்று டெக்கான் கிரானிக்கிள் செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
ஸ்டாலின் தனது பெயரிலும் தனது மனைவி பெயரிலும் உள்ள சொத்துக்கள் குறித்து தேர்தல் ஆணையத்திடம் கொடுத்துள்ள தகவ்லகளை எந்தத் தமிழ்  இதழுமே விமர்சனத்துடன் அணுகவில்லை.

March 21: DMK treasurer  and deputy CM M.K. Stalin does not own a car and has very modest  movable and immovable properties, according to the affidavit he filed on Monday along with
his nomination papers at Kolathur constituency. Mr Stalin has two separate fixed deposits in Tamil
Nadu Mercantile bank’s Royapettah branch for `93,998 and `4,43,008, besides `7,37,860 and `4,43,008 in his wife Durgavathi’s name in the same bank.  Mr Stalin claims to have a
debt of `70,000 as advance amount received from Om Lakshmi Aqua Farms. He has declared that neither he nor his wife has any shares or bonds and the couple does not own any kind of motor vehicles. Mr Stalin does not own jewels, gold or silver but his wife has old gold jewels
(720 grams) worth `11 lakh. Mr Stalin maintains that he has 12.5 per cent share in
Anjugam family trust worth `77,827 and one-third share  in Dhayalu family trust’s 21
cent vacant plot, worth `11.59 lakh, in Madurai. The movable property he
owns is worth `19.23 lakh and his wife’s is valued at  `23.05 lakh. Mr Stalin owns
agricultural land worth `17.67 lakh and his wife owns 3,680 square feet of
land in Tiruvallur district worth about `7.43 lakh. As per the affidavit, he bought
land in Velachery in 1995 and constructed 2,917 sq ft  house worth `69 lakh at present.
