திருச்சி, மார்ச் 27: சட்டப்பேரவைத் தேர்தலில் அதிமுகவுக்கு விஜய் மக்கள் இயக்கம் ஆதரவு அளிக்கிறது என்றார் நடிகர் விஜயின் தந்தையும், இயக்குநருமான எஸ்.ஏ. சந்திரசேகரன்.  இதுகுறித்து அவர் திருச்சியில் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை கூறியது:  விஜய் மக்கள் இயக்கம் அரசியல் கட்சி அல்ல. தமிழர்களுக்காகக் குரல் கொடுக்கக் கூடிய இயக்கம். இந்த இயக்கம் சட்டப்பேரவைத் தேர்தலில் அதிமுகவை ஆதரிக்கிறது. அதிமுக ஆட்சிக்கு வருவதற்கு விஜய் ரசிகர்கள் முனைப்போடு இறங்கி வேலை செய்ய உள்ளனர்.  நாட்டில் அவ்வப்போது மாற்றம் ஏற்பட வேண்டும். அப்போதுதான், நாட்டுக்கும், மக்களுக்கும் நல்லதாக அமையும். தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கு இந்த மாற்றம் அவசியம் தேவை என்று உணர்ந்தோம்.  இதற்காக, அதிமுக பொதுச் செயலர் ஜெயலலிதாவைச் சந்தித்துப் பேசினேன். அப்போது, அதிமுக ஆட்சிக்கு வர வேண்டும், ஜெயலலிதா முதல்வராக வேண்டும் என்ற உணர்வையும், முனைப்பையும் தெரியப்படுத்தினேன்.  தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் ஏற்பட்ட பாதிப்புக்காக, சுயநலத்தோடு அதிமுகவுக்கு ஆதரவு தெரிவிக்கவில்லை.  நாட்டில் வன்முறை, விலைவாசி உயர்வு, ஊழல் போன்றவை அதிகரித்துள்ளன. ஒரு காலத்தில் போஃபர்ஸ் ஊழலை மிகப்பெரிய ஊழல் என்பார்கள். இன்றைக்கு லட்சக்கணக்கான கோடிகளில் ஊழல் வளர்ச்சிடைந்துள்ளது.  இந்தியாவின், தமிழகத்தின் நிலையைப் பொறுத்துக் கொள்ள முடியாமல், அதிமுகவுக்கு ஆதரவு என்ற முடிவுக்கு வந்துள்ளோம்.  அதிமுகவுக்கு ஆதரவாக விஜய் தேர்தல் பிரசாரம் செய்வது குறித்து இன்னும் முடிவெடுக்கவில்லை. நான் பிரசாரம் செய்வதற்கு வாய்ப்பு உள்ளது.  என்னுடைய இயக்கத்தில் வெளிவந்துள்ள "சட்டப்படி குற்றம்' படத்தில் நாட்டின் அவலங்களை, அசிங்கத்தை தோலுரித்துக் காட்டியுள்ளேன். இந்தப் படத்தை பார்க்கும் மக்களுக்கு மனம் மாற்றம் ஏற்படும்.  இந்தப் படம் சட்டப்பேரவைத் தேர்தலுக்கு முன்பாக வரக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக பலரும் பெரும் முயற்சி எடுத்தார்கள். படத்தை அனுமதிக்கக் கூடாது என்று சட்டப்பேரவை உறுப்பினர் செல்வப்பெருந்தகை தேர்தல் ஆணையத்துக்கு கடிதம் எழுதினார். இருப்பினும், இந்தப் படத்தை திரையரங்குகளில் திரையிட்டுள்ளோம் என்றார் அவர்.

Actor Vijay's Makkal Iyakkam to support AIADMK

Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, a people's movement launched by actor Vijay, has decided to support the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) led front in the Assembly elections.

S.A. Chandrasekar, noted film director and father of actor Vijay, called on AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalithaa at Sangam Hotel here on Sunday noon and informed her about the decision.

Later Mr. Chandrasekar told presspersons that the Iyakkam favoured a political change in the State for its overall development and for the wellbeing of all sections of the society. The Iyakkam is of the firm view that political change is the need of the hour, taking into consideration the happenings in various fronts.

Enormity of violence, price hike and rampant corruption prevailing in the administration were the three reasons that forced the Iyakkam to seek a change of government. “We will highlight all these issues during the campaign,” he said.

The Iyakkam will extend its total support for ushering in such a political change, to enable the AIADMK to capture power and form the next Government under Jayalalithaa.

Responding to a query, Mr. Chandrasekar said the decision to support AIADMK in the elections was not a prelude to the Iyakkam turning into a political movement. “We are not a political outfit. We are not against anybody. We only want a political change in the State now in the interest of the whole society.”

Mr. Chandrasekar said he will soon commence his campaign.

When asked whether Vijay will also campaign for the AIADMK front, he replied that it was for the actor to decide.

Vijay joins Jaya star ranks, tie-up to fly

 

Actor Vijay is not known as ‘Ilaya Thalapathy’ (young general) for nothing as he leads a motley group — of school-going boys to the college students — who go crazy at the very sight of the star.
His gravity-defying gyrations are copied and his punch dialogues are repeated with gusto by these youngsters who have been brought under a flag and an association called the Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam.
This young star is now descending into the world of politics with the backing of this young brigade. After maintaining a prolonged silence over giving support to the AIADMK, Vijay finally got his message across to AIADMK general secretary J. Jayalalithaa on Sunday.
His father, producer-director S.A. Chandra-sekar, who has orchestrated every move of his life, called on Ms Jayalalithaa to convey the decision of the Iyakkam to support her party in the April 13 poll. Mr Chandrasekar, closeted with Ms Jayalalithaa for about 20 minutes at Sang-am Hotel in Tiruchy, said the Iyakkam favoured poli-tical change in the state to ensure that it develops equitably.
Ms Jayalalithaa, meanwhile, has decided to embark on a whirlwind campaign. She will fly by helicopter from constituency to constituency to campaign for her party, hoping that Vijay will add to the star power that she and ally DMDK chief Vijayakanth bring to her alliance.
