அழகிரியைக் கைது செய்ய வேண்டும் : ஜெயலலிதா கோரிக்கை - டெக்கான் கிரானிக்கிளில் மட்டும் செய்தி

 தேர்தலில் ஈடுபடும் அரசு ஊழியர்கள் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்களின் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதி செய்யும் வகையில், மு க அழகிரியைக் கைது செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று அதிமுக தலைவி ஜெயலலிதா , திருநெல்வேலியில் நடந்த பிரச்சாரக் கூட்டத்தில் பேசுகையில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். இன்றைய மதுரையின் நிஜமான சூழலை மனதில் கொண்டு ஜெயலலிதா விடுத்துள்ள இந்த கோரிக்கை, டெக்கன் கிரானிக்கிளில் மட்டும் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது.
தமிழ் நாளிதழ் எதிலும் இது தொடர்பான செய்திகள் இடம்பெறவில்லை என்பது குறிப்பிடத் தக்கது.

மு க அழகிரி, மீண்டும் ஒரு விதிமீறல் தொடர்பாக தேர்தல் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்த வருவாய்த் துறை அதிகாரிகளால்  முயற்சிக்கப் பட்டும், வழக்கு எதுவும் பதியப் படாமல், விடப்பட்டுள்ளதாக, நியூ இந்தியன் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் நாளிதழ் மட்டும் செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. இதே செய்தியின் கொஞ்சம் நாசூக்கான வடிவம் தினமணியில் வெளியாகியுள்ளது. மதுரை மண்டலத்தில் என்ன நடந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றது என்பதை இனங்காட்டுவதாக இந்தச் செய்தி அமைந்துள்ளது. ஆனால், தமிழ் நாளிதழ்கள் இந்தப் போக்குகளைப் பெருமளவில் மவுனம் காத்தும், அல்லது முழுமையாகப் பதிவு
செய்யாமலும் தேர்தல் செய்திகளை வெளியிட்டு வருகின்ற்ன.முதலில் தினமணி வெளியிட்டுள்ள செய்தியும், அதையடுத்து, நியூ இந்தியன் எக்ஸ்பிரசில் வெளியான செய்தியும்  அடுததடுத்துத் தரப்பட்டுள்ளன:

மேலூர், மார்ச் 20: மத்திய அமைச்சர் மு.க.அழகிரியுடன் சென்ற மேலூர் தி.மு.க. வேட்பாளர் காரை வருவாய்த் துறையினர் மற்றும் போலீஸôர் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை சோதனையிட்டதால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது.  மேலூர் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்தவர் ராஜமாணிக்கம். காங்கிரஸ் முன்னாள் எம்.எல்.ஏ.வான இவர் காலமாகிவிட்டார். இவரது மனைவி ராணி. மேலூர் சட்டப்பேரவைத் தொகுதி தி.மு.க. வேட்பாளர். ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை பகலில் மத்திய அமைச்சர் மு.க.அழகிரி, மேலூரில் உள்ள மக்களவை உறுப்பினர் அலுவலகத்துக்கு வந்தார். அவரை வேட்பாளர் உள்ளிட்ட கட்சியினர் வரவேற்றனர். அங்கிருந்து கொட்டாம்பட்டிக்கு காரில் புறப்பட்டார் மு.க.அழகிரி. அவரது கார் முன்செல்ல, மேலூர் தொகுதி திமுக வேட்பாளர் ராணி உள்ளிட்டோர் தனித்தனி கார்களில் சென்றனர்.  அப்போது தி.மு.க. வேட்பாளர் காரில் பணம் கொண்டு செல்லப்படுவதாக, அப்பகுதியிலிருந்த சோதனைச் சாவடிக்கு தகவல் கிடைத்ததாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது. இதையடுத்து வருவாய்த் துறையினரும், போலீஸôரும் அந்தக் காரை வழிமறித்தனர். ஆனால், கார் நிற்காமல் சென்றுவிட்டது. பின்னர் கொட்டாம்பட்டி அருகே அந்தக் காரை மடக்கிய வருவாய்த் துறையினரும், போலீஸôரும் மேலூர் போலீஸ் நிலையத்துக்கு அதை கொண்டுவந்தனர். காரில் சோதனையிட்டபோது, அதில் சால்வைகள் மட்டும் இருந்ததாகத் தெரிகிறது. இதையடுத்து காரை போலீஸôர் விடுவித்தனர்.  திமுக வேட்பாளரின் காரை அதிகாரிகள் மடக்கி சோதனையிட்ட சம்பவம் மேலூர் பகுதியில் பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியது.  தி.மு.க. வேட்பாளர் ஆதரவாளர்கள் சென்ற வாடகைக் காரில் 82 சால்வைகள் இருந்ததாகவும், அடையாளம் தெரிந்த பெயர் தெரியாத 3 பேர் காரில் இருந்ததாகவும் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக போலீஸôர் கூறினர்.

Alagiri convoy ‘ignores’ tahsildar’s order

MADURAI: The AIADMK on Sunday alleged DMK South Zone Organising Secretary M K Alagiri to having carried money to bribe voters in Melur constituency. Alagiri came to Melur with his supporters in a convoy to hold discussions with Congress functionaries at the MP Office, to brighten up the chances of DMK candidate Rani, widow of former MLA KVV Rajamanickam, in the elections.Sources said money in two bags was transferred from a car without a registration number to the one belonging to Rani. Immediately, the AIADMK passed on the information to Melur tahsildar Kalimuthu. Before he could reach the spot, the candidate’s car reportedly left for Kottampatti. The tahsildar rushed to a check-post near Melur to stop the vehicles, but none of them, including that of Alagiri, halted to the signal from tahsildar. The Kottampatti inspector was informed, but the cars took a diversion avoiding Kottampatti check-post.Based on representations from the AIADMK, Expenditure Observer H Moharana ordered seizure of the car. However, a vehicle check revealed only a few towels and shawls. A case was registered for violation of poll code under section 171(E) and 511(i) of IPC, read with Section 123 of the Representation of the People Act. Surprisingly, even after tahsildar’s endorsement, Alagiri and Moorthy MLA were not booked. Instead, four unnamed persons were booked under the same sections for not cooperating with tahsildar during vehicle check.

 தேர்தல் நன்னடத்தை விதியை மீறியதாக மு க அழகிரிக்கு நோட்டீஸ் அனுப்பியிருந்த தேர்தல் ஆணைய்ம், தற்போது அழகிரி விதியை மீறியதை உறுதி செய்து, அவர் அரசுப்பணியையும்,  தேர்தல் தொடர்பான சொந்த வேலையையும் ஒன்றாக்கியதைக் கண்டித்து, அழகிரி டில்லியில் இருந்து மதுரை சென்ற செலவை அரசுக்குச் செலுத்த வேண்டும் என்று
உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.
முதல் முறையாக எம்பி ஆகத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப் பட்டதால், தனக்கு இது பற்றித் தெரியாது என்று அழகிரி தனது விளக்கத்தில் குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தார். இந்த விளக்கத்தை ஏற்பதற்கில்லை என்று தேர்தல் ஆணைய்ம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. தேர்தல் நன்னடத்தை விதிமுறைகள் குறித்து ஊடகங்கள் வாயிலாக விரிவாக விளக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது. தெரியாது என்று சொல்லித் தப்பிக்க முடியாது. முதல் முறை என்பதால், "கொஞ்சம் விட்டுப் பிடிக்கிறோம்", எனற எச்சரிக்கையுடன், கட்டணத்தை மட்டும் கட்டுமாறு சொல்லிவிட்டது இந்தியத் தேர்தல் ஆணையம்.

மு க அழகிரி தேர்தல் நன்னடத்தை விதியை மீறினார் என்று அநேகமாக எல்லா தமிழ் நாளிதழ்களுமே செய்தி வெளியிட்டன.  அந்தச் செய்தியின் படி, மு க அழகிரி மார்ச் 7ஆம் தேதிக்குள் விதியை மீறியதற்கான காரணத்தை விளக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் , பதில் வராவிட்டால், தேர்தல் ஆணைய்ம் தன்னிச்சையாக இது குறித்து முடிவெடுக்கும் என்றும்
தெரிவிக்கப் பட்டிருந்தது. ஆனால், 7,8,9,10 என்று நாட்க்ள் கடந்து விட்டன. அழகிரி என்னதான் பதில் கொடுத்தார், ஆணையம் அதை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டதா என்பது குறித்து இதுவரை எந்த நாளிதழிலும் தகவல் தென்படவில்லையே ஏன்?

EC asks Alagiri to reimburse expenses to government
J. Balaji NEW DELHI: The Election Commission (EC) has directed Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister M.K. Alagiri to reimburse the expenditure incurred on any government facilities such as airfare from Delhi to Chennai and back, road transport, boarding and lodging facilities he availed himself during his visit to Chennai and Madurai early this month. It has cautioned him to be careful in future and not violate the model code of conduct.
The EC found his reply to the show cause notice sent to him earlier “not satisfactory” in as much that the letter of the (Chemical and Fertilizers Minister's Secretary) to the Commission on March 3 was a post-facto intimation and did not mention that the visit of Mr. Alagiri to Chennai was of such urgency that it could not be avoided in public interest.
‘We took lenient view'
But the EC considered the written submission made by Mr. Alagiri that as a first-time MP, he was not aware of all the nitty-gritty of the procedures and that such lapses would not happen in future. Hence it decided to take a lenient view in the matter.
The EC issued notice to the Minister for violating the code by visiting Madurai on March 4 and “indulging in political activities” after going to Chennai on an official visit to review the functioning of the CIPET on March 3.
Alagiri's reply
The Minister, in his reply, claimed that his department could not give prior intimation of his visit to Chennai because of the fact that March 2 was a holiday (Shivratri) and, therefore, a letter was issued on 3rd of March, 2011 stating that the visit was purely official and could not be avoided in public interest. His visit to Madurai was due to “unexpected personal political exigencies” and was not a pre-scheduled one. He said it was not brought to his notice by his office that the Model Code of Conduct had come into immediate effect.

For this, Commission said this could not be accepted as “this fact [of model code in force] was clearly mentioned in the press note issued by the EC on March 1 and which was also published and reported in the press and in the news broadcasts made by various TV channels.”

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission on Saturday directed Union chemicals and fertilisers minister M K Alagiri to reimburse the expenditure incurred on his recent visit to poll-bound Tamil Nadu in violation of the model code of conduct.

Cautioning the senior DMK leader to be "more careful" in future, the EC said in its order that the expenditure on airfare from New Delhi to Chennai and back, road transport, board and lodging availed by him during his visits to Chennai and Madurai be reimbursed to the government.

The EC said the minister himself admitted that he combined his official visit to Chennai with a personal visit to Madurai for political activities, which amounted to violation of the code.

"The commission has nevertheless taken into consideration the submission made by him that as a first-time MP, he was not aware of all the nitty-gritty of the procedure and that such lapses would not happen in future," it said and added that the commission decided to take a "lenient view" in the matter.

The commission said it was not satisfied with his reply that his visit to Madurai was due to "unexpected personal political exigencies" and was not pre-scheduled one, and also that his office did not bring to his notice that the model code had come into immediate effect.

The EC had issued a show cause notice to Alagiri for violating the model code by clubbing his official visit to Chennai but indulged in political activities in his home district Madurai.
